newLISP all of a Twitter

Not functional in the archive version.

I don’t quite understand Twitter but I thought I’d see what all the fuss was about by writing a small plugin for the ParenthesisEngine that picks up newLISP-related twitterings. You can see them in the left margin of the web page.

The only tricky thing is making sure that the information from twitter isn’t updated five times a minute, which wouldn’t be very considerate.

So far, one of the appealing things I’ve discovered about Twitter is the fact that messages are limited in length to 140 characters or thereabouts. Compulsory brevity has its good points!
